"[PMOH], the most hardcore and dedicated Medal Of Honor players on the internet" - GameSpy Daily

The Planet Medal of Honor Guild, or [PMOH] as its become more commonly known, was formed over three years ago by members of  the forums at PlanetMedalOfHonor.com. It was named as a Guild rather than a clan because the intention was to provide a place and a server where friends played for fun, not to compete in team ladders or leagues. Although the Guild has competed in The Honor League, with great success, the fun and fair ethos of the group still exists to this day.

Back then the only requirement for acceptance into the Guild was 200 posts at the Planet forums but, as time has passed and the membership numbers have swelled, entry into the Guild is by invitation only. A lot of close friendships have been built over that period of time and, for many members, they are just as important as the people they regard as friends in real life. The membership base is predominantly made up of North American members but [PMOH] is a truly global Guild, boasting members from the UK, Holland, South Africa (although living in the UK) and Australia. We also have several members who are currently overseas, serving with the armed forces. We wish them safe passage and hope that they can return home soon.

During its existence the Guild has reinvented itself several times for reasons both good and bad but the friendships that have been forged over the 4 years and the love of the Medal Of Honor series of games has kept the group together. There are certain members whose tireless work behind the scenes often goes unmentioned so a special thanks must go to Wonder Boy, Wolf-Man and Talon. These guys epitomise the Guild spirit and have provided us with our forums, website, skins and servers amongst other things.

In late 2003 the Guild adopted the motto Esprit De Corps as it was felt that this best described the group. The meaning of this motto is  'the common spirit existing in the members of a group and inspiring enthusiasm, devotion, and strong regard for the honor of the group'.

January 2004 saw one of [PMOH]'s finest moments when we were selected as the first ever team to play the EA developers in a friendly scrimmage. The Guild won all three maps and it was this comprehensive victory that earned the quote that you see at the top of the page.

Most recently, in late 2004/early 2005, a change happened that proved to be the biggest since the Guild began. The latest release in EA's Medal of Honor series, Pacific Assault, had hit the stores and with the interest in Spearhead waning, the Guild were hopeful that this would breathe new life into the series that brought all the members together in the first place. Unfortunately it wasn't to be, the game was plagued by bugs and internal disputes at EA with the latter heavily delaying the release of patches. Guild members and regulars were not impressed and so the server lay empty and devoid of life. A brave decision was made to move away from the Medal of Honor series and that is where you find us today, we now have one server running a variety of games from Battlefield 2 to Day of Defeat Source With so many interesting games on the horizon the chances are that the server line up may change again. You will be able to keep up with all the current news on the index page of this site.

[PMOH] has always been about fair play and the server admins take pride in making our servers a fun, friendly and fair place to play where newcomers are welcomed but attitude is not tolerated. We have a list of server rules that were put into place so that people will know what's expected of them when they play on our servers and you can read these by clicking on the 'Rules' link in the navigation bar at the top of this page. If you experience trouble of any kind on the [PMOH] server please contact one of the server admins or the Guild Council through the forums, we will be happy to address any issues you have and try to resolve them quickly. Additionally, if you have any comments or suggestions regarding what we could be doing to make the website, server or forums better, then please feel free to contact us.

Our server is paid for by the kind donations of Guild members and regular players and you can contribute by clicking the Paypal link on the homepage, all donations of all sizes are gratefully received.

Well, that's about it......for now!
Tommy

Time marches on and since the original copy of this history was written some members have moved on to other things, most notably Wolf-Man and Wonder Boy. As stated earlier without the contributions of these two (amongst others) we would not have what we do today and you wouldn't be sitting there reading this. They may be consigned to the history annuals of [PMOH] but they will always be Guild members and, more importantly, friends. We wish them all the best.
