Medal of Honor &
Call of Duty
www.planetmedalofhonor.com :- The spiritual home
of the [PMOH] Guild, this is where we all met and
where the Guild was conceived. This Planet site has
a close association with EA so it regularly has news
firsts and exclusives regarding the Medal of Honor
games.
Wolf-Man’s Assault :- A very talented
individual, Wolf-Man has created numerous skins and
visual modifications for the Medal of Honor series.
Indeed he is the guy who provided the Guild with the
custom uniforms we wear on our Spearhead server.
FPSadmin.com :
FPS Admin is a merger of two popular resources
CoDAdmin and MOHAdmin and is an essential bookmark
for anyone who runs or administrates a server. There
are a lot of guides spanning all topics from setting
up a server to using the rcon commands. It is also a
good source for downloading the newest anti cheat
software and other admin tools. The forums there are
also full of knowledgeable people who should be able
to answer any questions you may have.
Mohfiles.com :
As its name suggests MOH Files is a massive database
of all kinds of modifications for the Medal Of Honor
series of games.
Codfiles.com :
Another member of the 'files' network of sites. Like
its sibling above, Mohfiles.com, Codfiles.com holds
a massive resource of modifications and utilities
for the Call of Duty series.
TMM World :
Another good resource for both CoD and MoH. Provides
assistance in setting up servers for both games and
some guides on config files, as well as some basic
networking info.
Half-Life 2,
Counter Strike: Source & Day of Defeat: Source
Steam :
Steampowered.com is the home of Valve's online tool
Steam and is, without a doubt, the best place to
start for any questions you may have about Half Life
or its mods. With an extensive knowledge base and
regular forum interaction from Valve employees, you
should have your question answered quickly and
thoroughly.
HL2files.com :
Like its Medal of Honor and Call of Duty
counterparts, Halflife2files.com has an extensive
database of files and modifications. The list is
growing daily due to the popularity of the game so
its well worth checking out.
Official
Counter Strike Server Admin Source : This
provides advice and numerous guides for setting up
and running a Counter Strike: Source server. May
help answer some of your questions.
Counter-Strike Network : The official Counter
Strike Network resource. Looking for links and files
for Counter Strike? Check here first!
Sunlit Games
: A source of some of the best custom maps for the
Half-Life series, well worth checking out.
The
Battlefield Series
Friend's Sites
KH
Servergroup : The home of the Kelly’s Heroes
clan. The KH guys are good friends (and sometimes
enemies in matches) of the PMOH Guild, so close in
fact that some of their members are also members of
the [PMOH] Guild. If you ever fancy a change of
gametype, the KH server runs Call of Duty: United
Offensive as well as other games so check out their
site for details and the IP.
ELS Clan : Home
of our brothers and sisters of the ELS Clan. We've
had many good battles with these guys and girls and
they're a friendly bunch who play the right way, for
fun. They have Medal of Honor and Call of Duty
running on their servers with various realism mods.
Check them out. Tell them PMOH sent ya!
Utilities
Ventrilo :
Ventrilo is a voice communication program that the
Guild uses to communicate during matches (and to
talk trash when they’re not!). We used to use
Teamspeak as our comms software but Ventrilo has
proved to be a better option as the quality of sound
and features it offers are of a much higher
standard. From my understanding it can be tricky to
set up but Sarge has written a guide on how to
connect to an audio channel using Ventrilo. We
regularly open our Vent channel to the public for
Guild events so make sure you check out our 'how to'
guide on connecting to [PMOH].
All Seeing Eye : ASE is a must have program for
online gamers. It is a game server browser that
supports all the latest mp games and is regularly
updated to include releases as they happen. It is
also a handy way to store your favourite servers and
connect to them easily.
Xfire : Like ASE,
Xfire is a game server browser. However, it focuses
more on the buddy tracker element and is rapidly
gaining popularity throughout the communities.
XNView : XNView
is a handy image viewer/editor which allows you to
open less common image files, like TGA files,
without paying out for Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. |
