yeah ... i joined the server mats was on ... the only problem was that i started out as a level 1 private and had the basic m16 w/ stock sights i was killed 10 times in a row before i got my first kill ... MATS! it was so random, it was laughable
i do like the biohazard custom maps server ... i must say, the maps are getting better.
biohazard also has a 24/7 rat house map server ... i've heard of those types of environments, but never had an interest, but it was cool killing people in front of a giant, dirty toilet _________________

| Oh yeah… did I mention I got some awesome news coming down the pipeline at the end of the week for our PC players? I can’t say what it is now, but I’m sure most of you can see it coming a mile away. I’ll have that info for you around Friday hopefully. |
Looks like we could be on the verge of getting solid info regarding patch v1.6 and/or getting the 4 DLC maps on PC. Stay tuned, I'll keep you posted. _________________ Pete

what's the deal with people having to pay for the special maps?
as far as i'm concerned, the maps being run on biohazard are pretty damn cool (the scrap yard is sweet) ... the "official" maps are going to have to be off-the-wall to impress me after such a long wait.
hopefully the patch will add some variety to the gameplay and introduce some new options, modes, weapons, skins, etc. _________________

Console users pay for special content when it first comes out. Another way for Microsoft and Sony to make money through their "online stores". Once a certain period of time passes though, that content often becomes free.
Many, including myself, have speculated that PC would get the same maps for free, but after a few months' delay (possibly coinciding with the maps becoming free for Consolers). This would lower the chance for bitching from Console users that they had to pay but PC got them for free, because of the time that had passed.
The thing with official maps is that they'll be played on Ranked servers, which will mean more people playing them, as opposed to the much more limited populations on unranked servers. And, to be able to play them without all the goofy rules/mods we often find on custom map servers. _________________ Pete

You mean like "no shooting your opponent unless you've taken his third cousins sisters hand in marriage"? _________________

| I went to install this on my sons pc, and could not find the case, only the cd. Is there a way around that without going to one of those icky sites? Is there a way EA can verify the disk I have is legit, so I could call them and find the cd key? |

I doubt EA will shed a tear for you. There's not much you can do other than buy another copy of the game I think.
I've got a different problem...I had to reload this computer a few months ago and I lost all my hard earned unlocks and rank. I had to start from scratch tonight but I managed to get up to level 10 already. I miss all the good weapons I had... _________________

Yeah EA would care less, but you might want to give Activision a call. It couldn't hurt, the worst that could happen is that they tell you'll need to buy the game again. _________________

Well, it only took a total of 1 day, 17 hours and 25 minutes to reclaim my 55 ranking. It went a lot quicker this time thanks to playing 95% headquarters and actually trying to complete some of the challenges. I've become pretty deadly with almost all the Assault, SMG and LMG weapons although I barely used the shotties or snipers. I don't think any of those guns have even one challenge completed yet...
Total stats so far:
Score: 49335
Kills: 3487
Deaths: 2901
Headshots: 343 (I need to work on this...)
Assists: 167 (hardcore mode doesn't make for many survivors...)
Best Streak: 22 _________________
